Compare dice pins and dice bags to decide which tabletop accessory suits your style and needs. Quick trade-offs for collectors and players.
Quick answer
Choose a dice pin if you want to show off your tabletop pride on a bag or jacket; choose a dice bag if you need practical storage for your polyhedral sets.
Why the choice matters
Dice accessories serve two different purposes: displaying your hobby and carrying your gear. A collectible pin like the Origins Dice Goblin Pin lets you personalize a bag or lanyard without adding bulk. A dice bag, by contrast, holds your actual dice and keeps them organized at the table.
Trade-offs at a glance
Pins are small, affordable, and easy to swap between items, but they don't store dice. Dice bags provide essential storage but take up more space and cost more. Your choice depends on whether you prioritize expression or utility.
How to decide
- Dice pin: Attach a collectible pin to a bag, hat, or lanyard to display your tabletop identity. The Origins Dice Goblin Pin is an affordable way to add personality. Pins are for expression, not storage.
- Dice bag: Use a dedicated dice bag to carry and protect your polyhedral sets. Bags range from simple pouches to themed designs with multiple compartments. Bags prioritize function over flair.
- Combining both: Add a pin to your dice bag to get both display and storage in one accessory. This gives you the best of both worlds without compromise. Combining both removes the trade-off.
